Jonathan Knight, our Chief Executive, says:
“Yorkshire boasts a culture rich in food and drink. We’re blessed to count cheese, lamb, beef, pork, hams, baked goods, pies, fish, chocolate and now extra virgin rape seed oil among our historic culinary strengths.
Our producers are truly passionate about what they do, and more and more people are turning to locally-sourced, in-season produce, which is paying dividends for the wider regional economy, not to mention the reduction in food miles and the benefit that brings to our wonderful Yorkshire environment.
Deliciouslyorkshire is a celebration of all things food and drink in Yorkshire, but it especially honours the champions working across the region’s industry whether producing, selling or cooking our glorious food!”
