Showcasing local food products to potential buyers from restaurants, cafes, farm shops, hotels, hospitality/tourism businesses, independent retailers and supermarkets in order to promote greater take up of local produce and menus within Kirklees outlets.

Local Food Showcase/Demonstration by Chefs: Timothy Bilton, Butchers Arms, Hepworth and Barrington Douglas, Discovery Bay, Huddersfield

Local Producer Success Stories:
Yummy Yorkshire Ice Cream – Louise Holmes, WS Bentley’s Cress – Jan Bentley (tbc), Longley Farm Dairy – Jimmy Dickinson & Konrad Schwoch (tbc)

25 stands are available for local food producers in the following categories:

Meat including cooked pies / Poultry / Bakery including bread, cakes, biscuits and confectionery / Dairy including eggs & ice cream / Fruit & veg / Drinks including brewers / Pickles/chutneys/jams/honey / Cooked Food Producers (not retail) e.g. soups, curries

Exhibitors registered so far include local producers of free range turkeys, hand-baked cakes in unusual flavours, ice-cream, locally roasted coffees, fruit & veg, soup and pickles.
