Harrogate Autumn Flower Show

18/09/2009

The campaigning brand, deliciouslyorkshire, which champions the fantastic range of food and drink from the region, will be hosting a packed line-up of 15 Yorkshire and Humber food heroes at this year’s Harrogate Autumn Flower Show.

Celebrating the earthy flavours of autumn, deliciouslyorkshire’s range of home grown goodies will include healthy hedgerow cordials, handmade preserves and golden honey – all containing the very essence of the Yorkshire and Humber landscape. With award-winning sausages, fiery curry sauces and rich liqueurs also on offer, you’re bound to find the perfect ingredients from deliciouslyorkshire to create a warming treat as summer lays way to autumn.

Says deliciouslyorkshire’s Jonathan Knight, “With consumers increasingly demanding local sourcing, freshness, traceability and low carbon footprints, the deliciouslyorkshire brand is the public’s assurance that produce really is local. We want people to think about where their food comes from, to care about the quality of what they give to their families, and to support local businesses.”

“What better time to come along and stock up on your favourites and celebrate the beginning of autumn.”

Make sure you pick up a copy of deliciouslyorkshire’s recipe cards which will not only give you a step-by-step guide to creating a delicious local dish, but also the opportunity to enter the latest online competition (at http://www.deliciouslyorkshire.co.uk) to win an exciting range of Yorkshire prizes from dinner, bed and breakfast, a romantic meal for two to a luxurious hamper full of Yorkshire goodies.

And if you can’t make the show, you can support local producers all year round by purchasing a copy of Yorkshire’s Own Kitchen – the authoritative guide to the best food and drink from deliciouslyorkshire – showcasing some of the best places to eat, buy, stay and visit in the Yorkshire and Humber region, available at £9.99 on http://www.deliciouslyorkshire.co.uk or through farm shops, independent delis and local bookshops.
